I phoned the Pender Co Sheriffs office this morning, 10/9/16 (post Hurricane Mathew's hit on the NC shores), as I could not get through to my Mom. I didn't think her area was hit as hard as many others, however as a daughter I was still somewhat worried. The gentleman/officer/dispatcher was greatly helpful, kind and professional. I knew they were busy, so I tried to keep it short, yet he took the extra minute to actually check her precise address and reassure that all was okay in her area. I thank him and hope all officers, EMT's, and rescue workers stay safe during this time. ( Thank You again from Shelley in Mountain City TN.)

this police department has done NOTHING but harass and stalk me since ive been living in burgaw. they arrested me over window tint and invalid registration not once....but TWICE in 5 days. All while they knew I was in tube process of getting my personal vehicle legal by trying to fix the computer to get the check engine light to go off so that it could pass inspection. ive had 1 officer literally follow me through Mcdonald's parking lot ride through the drive through run my tag then wait in the scotchman parking lot to pull me over. then had another today literally wait for me to get back on 117 so that he could pull me over...what for? who knows.....this department has a few good officers but for the most its full of people who just want to make their quota and to have their joys of arresting people who doubt deserve it! to the officers who may read this.....MY CAR IS LEGAL IS HAS NO WINDOW TINT MY REGISTRATION IS VALID!!!!!!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!!!!!!
